Over the last 12 months we have made a tremendous effort to remove the coyote population from the Ranch. From the first of November 2010 till November 2011 we have removed 59 coyotes. In the past arial surveys we have counted 8 to 15 % fawn survival. This year we had a 62% survival rate! As you can see it make a big difference.
I have posted a link to a set of game camera pictures that shows what coyotes can do to an adult deer, a fawn wouldn’t have lasted as long. For the wolf lovers just think what a 120 pound heaver canine could do to an adult elk or moose. The photos are very graphic and I hope you don’t enjoy them but learn from them.
